26 June 2024. STRIKE BALLOT NOW OPEN! Members, look out for papers arriving in the post over the next few days. Vote straight away, and vote “YES” to strike action and “YES” to action short of a strike!

20 June 2024. Despite over 100 colleagues making voluntary exits in recent months, on May 24 UCLan management issued a new threat to cut up to 157 more jobs, including making compulsory redundancies if not enough people volunteer. In a consultative e-ballot, members voted overwhelmingly to start the process of taking industrial action, and UCU served notice to the Vice-Chancellor on 18 June that we are moving to a formal postal ballot, which will open on 26 June. Members please look out for your ballot papers in the post! Vote “YES” to strike action and vote “YES” to action short of a strike!
